Just an idea.... Why not make 1 large thread in 1 of the forums. There are now threads in the Atari News forum, the 2600+ forum and the 7800 forum. I see so many questions that already have been answered in the other threads.

It will need it's own 7800 Plus forum like the 2600 Plus soon anyway, so yeah, that should be made right now.

Does the DB9 dongle work in OG hardware, or is this a + exclusive?

Yeah of course it works on a OG

Caveat! That is an assumption though, I haven't actually tried it myself.

I did test the USB dongle in my PC, plugged it in and it was instantly recognised by windows, the CX78+w played retro games on my PC sweet.

That is not what I mean. For example the question if the new wireless controllers are also working on original hardware has already been answered. I saw questions about the pack in game, the cartridge sleeves and so on in the 3 threads.

I haven't got any video keypads, driving controllers, trackballs here at home but I assume they just will work or will do in the shipped software. I'll confirm as soon as I know more.

I have these controller types and more. If you ever need help testing, I'm available.

Well, that was my intention with this thread.

Erm.... you created this topic in Atari News: ;-)

A lot of the questions are in that topic too.

Next step: install Altirra on your PC and be amazed what the Atari 8-bit computers, XEGS and 5200 have to offer 😉

So what's the first non-bundled game y'all are going to play on the 7800+?

Guess I have all of them😅

Bentley Bear will be a double but maybe in Europe they add a PAL version?

Then I got both kinds, Country and Western🤙

(I buy NTSC versions now, PAL users were fooled for decades️)

Yeah, not sure what I'm going to do yet.

It does seem that Atari is marketing both machines under the banner of Atari + Platform.

So perhaps an Atari + Platform forum that is actually the 2600 Plus forum renamed, so all current content is in there and all new 2600/7800 Plus topics join it in one place. An option anyway.
