I'm not a fan of this tactic. Combining an obvious repro with a bunch of fairly common carts.

At least they acknowledge that the rare cart might be a repro (and they obviously are) but it's still shady. They do this in multiple auctions.

I might have found another listing doing the same thing, this time with Texas Chainsaw Massacre: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184281795910

It's the same person. There were multiple auctions like this previously which caused me to believe it was intentional. He knows they're repros. Still not a fan.

I would say he has been doing the same "Repro ?" Bullshit for at least a year now. I have reported his listing before, but Ebay rarely does anything on mateers like this.

I'm fascinated by this auction for multiple reasons...

  • I wonder how they came up with that price
  • She took a picture of the atari in her lap
  • There are other people in the background
  • Someone else must be arranging the carts on the table while she's taking pictures of the hardware (the second picture only has one cart on the table)
  • Pickup only

Well they have been informed yet again that they are all 100 percent fake with 0 chance of authenticity.

for a grand you can have a package of games that includes 3 duplicates. Missile Command has a .25 cent sticker on it

Actually I think they are charging $10 extra for any game you want. $1,000 only gets you the system.

Exhibitionist postings are the best.  Though, I ain't paying a cent until I see more than just thighs and a thick wrist.

These listings always piss me off since it makes other people think they have holy grails, even though they have dirt cheap commons. Hopefully, someone told the person about the difference between Atlantis and Atlantis 2 and he lowered the price.

We're really doing this? We're up to 350 dollars for a Power Lords now? That is really irritating, it used to be $200.

It doesn't have any bids. Anyone can ask whatever they want.

The first line of the listing: "I have no idea what I have" ... but let's open things up @ $399.99 ?!

Should I laugh or cry?

(ETA: I'd rather wager $70 on the frighteningly large collection of pistol holsters from the same seller.)

The person is now selling it for $199.99. Still too much for an untested item, but better than the original price.
