Even doing double duty has produced alternate versions. Take Delta Drawing. The preservation site has version 3.23 as being preserved.聽 The one I posted, version 3.20, is not even listed on the site. It is also in a smaller cart that I have not seen before.

I just dump everything I get.

Compu-Read 3.0 - The WAV loads in Altirra, but I could not make a CAS from it.聽 The CAS that is included is a CSAVE CAS, not from the original WAV.聽 I tried recording a WAV 30+ times and this the only way I could get a CAS. I will replace it with a new when I can get a WAV that will convert.聽 But until then, enjoy the software.

Issue #33

  1. BLINE had an update to assembly list from #29. 聽I check the listing on the #29 I posted and it already has the fix, so no changes to BLINE.
  2. An update to the Clock program from issue #31. 聽This mod allows for loading the SET program to load automatically.
  3. VANDENBG.LST is entered into VANDENBG.BAS from issue #29 for better XL compatibility.
  4. BBEXTERM.BAS fixes some problems with BASIC REV A and also puts basic on disk. 聽The BASIC Cartridge is no longer needs in 400/800s. The assembly listing compiles. An ATR is included.
  5. SYNTRON.BAS creates a file or a cassette version of the game. The CAS and an ATR from that CAS are included.SYNTRON.M65 compiles into a working game
  6. CCOM.BAS creates an AUTORUN.SYS for your DOS disk. 聽The assembly listing compiles using Atari Macro Assembler into a working program.
  7. There are 5 SOUNDx.ASM assembly listings that assemble using Assembler Editor. 9 were found on the source disk, but 4 of them belong to the next issue. 聽I will be moving them there. OBJs for the first 5 are included.

Issue #34

  1. PPCAL.LST from Reader Comments is an update for Personal Planning Calendar From Issue #31.
  2. TRANSLTR.LST from Reader Comments is an update for the Home Translator program from issue #32.
  3. SOUND6.ASM requires Atari Macro Assembler. Even after verifying the source file matches the listing, I still get 1 error, "Undetermined MACRO definition." SOUND7.ASM, SOUND8.ASM and SOUND9.ASM all compile using Assembler Editor.
  4. Dragons Breath has two different versions of the game. 聽Version one is DRAGONBR.BAS and if you enter TRIVISA.LST into DRAGONBR.BAS, you get a different version of the game.
  5. ELEVATOR.BAS creates a file or a cassette version of Elevator Repairman. 聽The CAS and an ATR from that CAS are included. 聽The assembly listing compiles with MAC/65 into a working game.

In addition, I have changed hardware that I am using

  1. Disk Drive: TEAC FD-55GFR. All new (or updated) DISK dumps are on this drive. Any聽DISK dumps before this post were聽on a Panasonic JU-475.聽 The Panasonic failed on the disk Slime.

Just out of curiosity, since the JU-475 died, how are you managing the flippy disks?

This could be the explanation for your .wav file issues.

I slice the disk open and turn the inside media over.

The only time I have a problem with WAVs is when the original media is in really poor condition.聽 This little player has done tons of good WAVs, even ones with second channel audio, like Speed Reading and Moonbase IO.

The cassette player is not the problem, it's poor media as a source.

This is the first disk that the preservation site has listed as copied from original media. 聽The disk itself will remain intact and is included to make the thread complete. 聽I will check all programs on the disk for correctness and any changes will be on a separate disk that I create. I will still make CAS and ATR files where appropriate.

Issue #35聽(Disk 1 Sourced from A8SP)

  1. BONK.BAS creates a file or a cassette version of the game. The CAS and an ATR from that CAS are included. 聽The Mac/65 listing compiles into a working game.
  2. An additional disk was not necessary.

I was trying to find a way to do the few originals that I have without cutting them up. I picked up a JU-475 a while back with the hope of modding it, but after watching the rather destructive Kryoflux mod video on youtube, I decided against it. I thought I saw something about adding a second IR & photo-diode (not sure if it was the Panasonic or not) to pick up an index signal from a flipped disk, but I cannot seem to find the thread anymore.

that mod was done for kryo as well as XF551's

I'll try to dig the links up again, it's probably now all in another language and on a site that will require a translate button to be hit.

found something similar that will work for atari disks, since index isn't really used by most Atari mechs, It can be approximate and is close enough to fake it. Easily adapted to most direct drive mechs.

http://www.b-pahl.de/atari8bit/xf551/xf551.html

http://blog.3b2.sk/igi/post/ATARI-floppy-disk-drive-XF551-3_3.aspx

the second one is closer to the original mods... and translates slightly easier at the moment when put through online website translators.

WOW! That is really great! 馃檪

The 'normal' ones, we do have:

https://atariwiki.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Atari Educational System Lesson Cassettes

From the Dorsett ones:

https://atariwiki.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Dorsett Educational System Lesson Cassettes

we call for help on the missing ones:

Some tapes had severe damage and therefore couldn't be digitized. If anyone is in the possession of the following tapes, please give us a message or a post hereout.png. We really need your help and appreciate just any hint on the programs, who seem to be lost in time, like tears in rain.

The left ones to digitize are as follows:

- General Shop Practices:

Oa1 Tool Identification Lesson, Part 1
Oa7 Discussion of a Two-Cycle Engine
Oa8 Use of Micrometers and Calipers

- Health Services Career:

Hc5 Medical History
Hc6 Extended Care

- Physics:

Ph16 Theory of Relativity
