Alphabet Zoo (1983)(Spinnaker Software)(US)[cartridge] Set #2

This cart is already preserved, but I found a poster in the package and wanted to have all materials related to that package in one spot.

I know, it does not mean it was all there from the factory.  But, my guess is that little poster is probably the first thing that is tossed in the garbage after a bit of time.  The fact that it is here . . . what would you guess??

The poster had been rolled up for so long, I had to weigh it down with some Dorsett boxes while scanning.

The scan of the front does show that it had a round sticker on it.

Two entirely missing programs with Adventure Trilogy and Magic Spells, thank you again!

I do not see this title on Atari Mania either:

Utilities Diskette II (1982)(APX)(US)[disk]

The site does have "Utility Diskette II", but it shows undumped.

It's the same title. And yes it is undumped. The copy you bought and dumped is the first one that has shown up on eBay in the last 15 years or so. I have looked for years. Ironically a second copy just showed up (with the second style manual) just yesterday. I bought it and waiting for them to arrive sometime next week.

Joystick Sketchpad (1983)(Atari)(US)(BASIC)[cassette]

  1. Side 1: Spliced together from 3 different recordings out of 20+- from the same cassette.  Source of the splices are included, numbered by the piece I took from it. I was not able to make a CAS from this spliced WAV so I made a CAS from the first spliced wav piece, and CSAVED the two remaining programs to make a complete and working CAS.
  2. Side 2: Single recording, complete.

Autoboot side 1 with basic enabled. Use CLOAD for all other programs.

I think I saw this in one of my boxes of stuff still wrapped in the original plastic.  I'm pretty sure I have another copy that was opened though I haven't tried it.

That last one may be mis labeled, it shouldn't require O.S. B, but rather require a certain BASIC revision, be it A B or C.

When I tested, the version of BASIC did not matter, but the OS did.  Under XE it would mess up the opening screen and show an error. It still did arrive at the menu though.

Under OS-B regardless of BASIC, no mess up and no error.

Strange, I used them with an XL years ago for the kids and don't remember the issue, the box and inserts on your thread also show is as an 800XL title. There were more papers. This is a common enough title I bet someone can shed light on this. Maybe a translator disk was involved but I can't remember using it.

Spell It! (1984)(Davidson)(US)(Set to Read Only)[disk] Includes untested C64 files.

Sector 720 shows as bad on this recording.  It did not show bad on other recordings, but this is the only recording (about 20) that had only 1 bad sector. There is no data on the sector when it did record good, so I am leaving it this way.

VisiCalc 1.74a (1980)(VisiCorp)(US)[disk]

My version of VisiCalc is like all the others that have been documented, except for the "User Support Plan.pdf", which I did not find out there. I will not bore you with another copy of the box and contents.  The Zip includes the SCP, ATX and the PDF only.

Spell It! (1984)(Davidson)(US)[disk] - Hope you have real hardware for this one. Includes untested C64 files.

I tried several different configurations in Altirra, but I could not clean up the video. Screens 1, 2 and 5 were shots using Altirra.  Screens 3 and 4 were taken with a camera after booting Spell It! on my 576NUC+.  If anyone comes up with a good config for Altirra, please share it with the rest of us.

Very happy to see this title!

All Davidson titles should be loaded in "read only" mode with no acceleration patch.
