That sucks.  I know it happens more than people realize.  It’s not right.

You’re correct, there’s no doubt that is the same one.

Regarding my deal, there’s a little more to it now.  After we went back and forth when he cancelled, I pleaded for him to keep his deal to me.   He ended up offering it to me for what the other guy offered (which was twice what I paid).  I reluctantly agreed because it was something I really wanted, but not crazy about being extorted.  So the deal went through and I should have it.  Currently on a cruise so I can’t see it yet but the package arrived.  Once I got it, I left bad feedback for his practices.  He of course got p#$sed, but those kind of practices need to be reported.

Here’s what I was after in the lot that someone else tried to poach after the sale.

AtariAge poster of the AtariAge #1 mag as sold in the catalog.  Still with mailer tube.

Also, 2 Swordquest Certificates of Merit for the entering the contest.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen these before.

Threw out a low bid on this Apple IIe monitor and somehow managed to win it. And it actually arrived unbroken.

That is sweet. Congrats on the pickup. We had Apple IIe's in our high school computer lab and I loved them. The only thing missing from your picture is a Silentype printer.

How much?
I'm so tempted to get one, but shipping alone puts them over $100.
I just have to make due with my color TV  (woe is me)

Those certificates are new to my eyes as well. I had no idea this was a thing! 😊

$18+$50 shipping. The shipping hurt, but it was still a deal. It was even packaged properly, which was a nice change of pace.

Sometimes I will look for something with free pickup, but no luck yet.
At the very least, I found out that hi-res mode text is a lot easier to read if I turn the color all the way down on my TV. It's just not as nostalgic as the green.

Wow, that newsletter vol 1 number 1 is so rare! I missed getting it by one month since I have the other newsletter vol 1 number 2, which I consider to be the rarest Atari VCS/2600 item I own. Great finds...

Had to buy two auctions to make a numbers matching Sears Breakaway IV text label 49-75107.

Now impatiently waiting for the cib picture label version.(Actually a lot of picture label ones)

Still climbing Sears mountain...started at base camp with my back in the day copy of Haunted House,

now have eight 19 quart boxes of cib Sears releases. The top of the mountain is shrouded in perpetual fog....

Yeah, I never thought I’d get a #1.  First time I’ve ever even seen it in 30+ years.
