CapitanClassic
Feb 12-18: Didn’t get much time this week to play games. Returned to working on writing a Pico-8 game. I started this over a year ago (but really have only worked for a couple weeks on it), but keep switching between 2600 ASM / bBasic and Pico-8 development, as well as splitting time between 3 different games I’m working on. I work on small parts of the game like general flow-control, small bits of gameplay, and making bits look nice. Probably need to reevaluate the development process to actually start making progress (Ie make sure the fundamental game loop is working first, and build from there). Skippy B. Coyote
Good week for gaming this week! I ended up finishing Tomb Raider for the original PlayStation as well as Metroid Prime Remastered on the Switch, then spent a bit of time checking out Tomb Raider I•II•III Remastered on the Switch as well! After playing through the first 4 levels of the first Tomb Raider game on the Switch remaster and comparing it to the PS1 original I just finished I definitely feel like the remaster is easily the best way to experience Lara's 3 best classic adventures in 2024, much like how Metroid Prime Remastered is the best way to experience the original Metroid Prime if you ask me. TG-16/PC Engine (1 game) - 15 min. 19. Commodore 64 (1 game) - 15 min. (#12) With a combination of catch-up and new times, Metroid Prime Remastered on the Switch scores a number of minutes worthy of the modern tracker a few seasons ago. On the pre-NES side, River Raid is just over an hour ahead of Solar Fox, and despite Kaboom! was played, it didn't even make the list. The systems list is split 13 classic, 7 modern but of course none can match the Switch this week, so perhaps Nintendo don't have to replace it on the market just yet. Three new members in the 1000 Minute Club: #550 Sword of Sodan (Genesis) - 1079 min. #551 Atlantis (Atari 2600) - 1008 min. #552 Tutankham (Atari 2600) - 1051 min. plus that Skies of Arcadia (Dreamcast) exceeds 5000 minutes with a total of 6030 min. 4

Kurt_Woloch
Here are my times for this past week (February 19th through 25th, 2024): Arcade: Elevator Action - 49 min. in 3 sessions The only game I played this week was the already familiar Elevator Action in the original arcade version. I made it through the first two buildings twice, but couldn't complete them. Other than that I "played" around with some AI picture and video generators / enhancers such as "Stable Cascade" or "Clip Interrogator" (both on Hugging Face), but those aren't really video games, so they aren't eligible for inclusion here.

CapitanClassic
Feb 19-25: Just the normal a2600 HSC gaming and RB College. Not sure why I am playing so badly at RB College this 20th season, but the year isn’t going well. I have a Senior QB, with decent stats, but I threw over 7 interceptions so far, got sacked twice, and my newer WR have a couple of fumbles. Current record is 7:3, where I normally only lose at most one game a season. Played a little Pico-8 gaming to distract myself from a lack of progress on my game, but not enough time on any single game worth tracking.
