Spirantho
I've updated the rarity list a little. We now have a button which lists all the carts which don't have pictures! Ain't that useful? We also now have the facility to add screenshots! Marco (@ari) suggested it to me so we can tell the PAL from their NTSC counterparts, which makes sense... I suspect someone else may have suggested it too at some point but I can be forgetful Anyway, I've not tested this much, but if people can check it out and see what happens that'd be cool. I need to check with Frax that it's ok storing all the new pictures, but it should be ok AFAICS. So please, add screenshots of any PAL games you can find! Capture card preferred but a camera would do in place of nothing. Oh, and I have used Combat text label to test my code so can we update that first? The 'screenshot' is a little inaccurate at the moment. BTW, can we make this topic sticky? Might make sense given how many people still don't know about this list.... And to anyone who hasn't been paying attention, the public version is at: http://www.retroreview.com/paldatabase/Index.php Edit: Got Frax's name right. YOK-dfa
But what about sorting by rarity? That is very handy when discussing the rarity of carts. Anyway, also found this. Anyone seen this before:
Spirantho
But what about sorting by rarity? That is very handy when discussing the rarity of carts. Anyway, also found this. Anyone seen this before: Yup - there was a complete set of the FujiStyle (or whatever they're called) releases CIB auctioned a year or so back... got a good price too. They're basically all the Bit Corp releases (this one is Phantom Tank I should think.) As for the sorting by rarity - honestly, you think I'm some kind of slave or something? Rom Hunter
Spirantho, did you put the Quelle scans (post #351) in? Please don't just dump screenshots from the internet on the PAL database! It would be of great value if all the screenshots are from the corresponding PAL cartridges (because of the many different logo's and graphic hacks in PAL territory). As for the sorting by rarity - honestly, you think I'm some kind of slave or something? Ah, you're still pissed off because you missed that Pengo auction But seriously, it would make it easier to determine the rarity of carts, because you can compare it with other carts (and their rarity). Please don't just dump screenshots from the internet on the PAL database! Agreed!

Heh... you obviously haven't checked the database page then. Please don't just dump screenshots from the internet on the PAL database! Like everything else I'm relying on all the contributors to do the screenshots from confirmed PAL carts on confirmed PAL systems.... so it's entirely up to you guys! And no, I haven't added any scans... been a bit busy to worry about the content of the database. Edited October 4, 2005 by Spirantho
YOK-dfa
Heh... you obviously haven't checked the database page then. Aha. I see. But it's not really want i wanted though... I would like to have a function where i can list all rarity 7 carts for example. Would that be possible ?? I know i can do it now by sorting by rarity and just listing *all* the carts, but that is very slow and cumbersome to use.

Spirantho
Right, that's done now. But don't abuse it as the list can be quite long so the bandwidth usage is quite high! You shouldn't need it very often anyway, though. Incidentally, I put some of the Carrere Video games up to rarity 8 - the ones that nobody owns a copy of! YOK-dfa
Hey i own a Sneak'n'Peak from Carrere, and there was one on Ebay last week. Ended for €3,04. I think the rarity of that one should be lower. On the other hand, Infernal Tower and Picnic are quite rare. Anyway, thanks for the changes

Should that really be a 5? Happy for Infernal Tower to be 8 though - I own that one CIB.
Mayhem
I see you have the Qb Xmas special cart listed as a 9 for PAL. Any idea how many of the ones made (it was about 180 odd wasn't it?!) were in PAL then for it to warrant this rating? (for the record, I got a PAL one of course, so if you want a scan of that, I'll duly oblige...)
