Top 10:

1. Pokémon Gold (Game Boy Color) - 525 min. (#1)
2. Lagoon (SNES) - 508 min. (#9)
3. Solar Fox (Atari 2600) - 358 min. (#3)
4. Entombed (Atari 2600) - 253 min.
5. Able Builders (CoCo 1 & 2) - 175 min.

8. Stunt Car Racer (Atari Jaguar) - 60 min.
9. Soukoban (SG-1000) - 53 min.
10. M.A.D. (Atari 2600) - 49 min.

Pre-NES top 10:

1. Solar Fox (Atari 2600) - 358 min. (PN#2)
2. Entombed (Atari 2600) - 253 min. (PN#6)
3. Able Builders (CoCo 1 & 2) - 175 min. (PN#9)
4. Name This Game (Atari 2600) - 85 min. (PN#10)
5. Jumping Joey (CoCo 1 & 2) - 66 min. (PN#5)

10. H.E.R.O. (Atari 2600) - 37 min.

Top 10 systems:

1. Atari 2600 - 852 min. (#2)
2. Game Boy Color - 525 min. (#1)
3. SNES - 523 min. (#5)
4. Watara SuperVision - 331 min.
5. CoCo 1 & 2 - 241 min. (#8)
6. Atari 8-bit - 138 min.
7. Arcade - 132 min. (#9)
8. NES/Famicom - 115 min. (#7)
9. SG-1000 - 109 min.
10. Atari Jaguar - 105 min.

Lagoon moves from #9 to #2 but is 17 minutes short from the first place, still held by Pokémon Gold. Yet again, Solar Fox is the most played pre-NES game, followed by another four games from the lower half of last week's list. System wise, the Atari 2600 regains first place from the Game Boy Color. We have a rare visitor in fourth place, the Watara SuperVision and below the list, a new entry in form of the Thomson MO5.

The new systems this year so far are Acorn Archimedes, Apple IIgs, Dragon 32, IBM PCjr, SAM Coupé and Thomson MO5, which I believe brings us up to 132 more or less unique systems pre-2000.

Lagoon (SNES) also becomes member #512 in the 1000 Minute Club with a total of 1178 min.

Atari 8-bit:
Arcadia - 21 min.
Break It! 2022 - 30 min.
Pac-Men Evolution - 6 min.
Retro Dschump - 6 min.

As usual, no retro gaming until Sunday afternoon. I gave some of the HSC games another try, including that managed to run Break It! after fiddling with the start screen settings. Good for me, as it turned out to be the game I played for the longest period of time.

Here are my times for this past week (December 5th through 11th) on classic systems:

Arcade:
Jr. Pac-Man - 30 min. in 4 sessions

This week I revisited Jr. Pac-Man for some short sessions, but not with particularly impressive results - the farthest I got was the 3rd maze. I spent far more time caring for my father who insisted on getting home from the care facility and now gets a 24 hours care, but this is about to break as well due to him insisting on getting back to his normal bed instead of being caught up in a care bed.

Treasure Cove-10

The Incredible Wizard-15

Pirate’s Chase-10

Atari 7800:

Harpy’s Curse (beta)-75

Sirius-45

Plutos-65

Planet Smashers-20

Alien Brigade-30

Asteroids-10

Donkey Kong Jr-5

Dragon’s Cache-25

Basketbrawl-5

Dragon’s Descent-15

Tunnels of Hyperion-25

Sega Master System:

Kenseiden-25

Spent some time hanging out with buddies playing games this week, hence the large number of games played for a short time only. Beat Sirius and Harpy’s Curse. Got to the alien queen 3 times in Alien Brigade and just instantly (?) died each time. Is there some trick I don’t get? On level 1 I failed the mission maybe 5 times before I realized that you aren’t supposed to throw a grenade at the yellowish helicopter at the end that uses the exact same sprite as the ones that shoot at you.

Edit-couldn’t read my own crappy handwriting for play times. Corrected Harpy’s Curse time

This week I played:

Final Fantasy III (VI) for Super Nintendo - 237 minutes

Progress - just got Setzer's airship for the first time to land on the south continent where Vector is located. I'm working on buying better armor before I proceed.

I got the flu at the end of this week so not as much gaming took place. I'm still not sure if I have enough stamina to start playing this week.

2. Hishouzame (Hishou Same) (Arcade) - 373 min.
3. Final Fantasy III (VI) (SNES) - 237 min.
4. Jumping Joey (CoCo 1 & 2) - 201 min. (#7)

8. Genesis - 130 min.
9. Bally Astrocade - 95 min.
10. Atari 5200 - 90 min.

Yup, it is official. Solar Fox is an "OK" game. Actually it is OK enough to become the most played game this week, and lead the Atari 2600 to the systems title. The arcade version of Hishouzame is not far behind on the main list, and the only other game remaining from last week, Jumping Joey is in a strong pre-NES second place.

ToeJam & Earl (Genesis) becomes member #513 in the 1000 Minute Club with a total of 1037 minutes.
