+FujiSkunk
Woohoo, a box has arrived! And I have it on good authority that I can open it before Christmas. I haven't quite yet, mostly because I've been a bad Secret Santa and took way too long getting my own box out. But it's on the way now too, so I'm probably going to tear into this bad boy by the weekend, once some other Christmas-related whirlwinds have calmed down. To my Secret Santa, thank you in advance!

I would have been tempted to stop here and call it "Train in a Blizzard". Hehe 😄 I've been doing it since I was about 6 or so, so it's become a somewhat mindless task to keep my hands busy when I'm watching/listening to something. I've been doing a lot more of it recently after finishing my big project in 2021- That map's a bit over 2 feet square- I worked on it on & off for around 9 years! Kinda forgot how quick I can finish up smaller projects until it was done! Anyway, here's the train at the halfway point- I added in another color today but haven't taken an updated photo yet.

I didn't realize the book was the trilogy (probably explains why it is so thick), so that's like three presents in one. I immediately played a round of golf. It is certainly not the most sophisticated game, but for what I believe to be programmed in 2k of ROM, it's actually pretty good. Oh, and that Beyond Good candy bar didn't survive the night. ColecoGamer
I received a phone call from the Post Office this morning, stating my package has arrived. Could it be true? Did Krampus grow tired of torturing me? Lol I’m headed to the Post Office, so stay tuned! 1
ColecoGamer
😍The Secret Santa package finally arrived! It’s heavy to carry, too. It’s a big’un that’s for sure. Once I finish my errands for the day, I’ll tear into the package and share its contents with the thread!

They didn't want you to see the mishandling of that box. Hopefully everything inside is in tact.

However, the Post Office must have been brutal on delivering this package - because the dissected Coleco Joystick you sent - is in pieces. The homemade fudge is incredible too. I was surprised to see those Atari 2600 cartridges; some are not easy to find. I love those Star Wars collectable Pez candy dispensers! Plus the T-shirt; you have incredible taste as a Secret Santa. ☺️ The Post Office disappointed me, though. It looks like their employees played football with the package. 😡 Luckily, everything else arrived safe and sound. Thank you again for everything! Merry Christmas to you and yours. ☺️

For years I have tried to remember the game where you drove a car and jumped to collect items, while avoiding bricks and the like. It happens to be Private Eye! Childhood memories came flooding back when I played it again. These gifts mean so much to me. Plus, I received a game I remember fondly by memory only as a kid, but not by name. You helped me end the quest for that game! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now its time to snack on the goodies you sent, especially that homemade fudge. Yum! 😁 5

carlsson
And boom! My mailbox was full with a big padded envelope when I got home from work. Thank you, Secret Santa! Just like the others, I will wait a little before opening it. It is strange that the tracking history differs so much depending if you go by the post office of the sending country or the post office of the receiving country. Basically the Swedish post only knew the package was handed in on Nov 29 and delivered on Dec 15, while USPS has a much more detailed tracking, including how my package went Tennessee - Florida - Portugal (!) - Sweden. Anyway, that is 8 days for shipping Sweden -> USA, of which 2 days in Sweden, 2 days in transit and 4 days within the US, while the other way around took 16 days of which 5 days within the US, 6 days in transit and 5 days in Sweden before being delivered.

Same here. I have questioned this with them. OzPost only tracks things on heir site that they, personally, have scanned. USPS uses "Predictive Tracking" on where "it thinks the parcel should be by now"

joeatari1
To my Secret Santa: I have received the parcel and will hold off opening it, like I do every year, until Christmas morning. Thank you so much, I will post pics after I open it! To my Secret Santa Recipient: I got a little bit of a late start this year but the box should arrive in a couple days. I was also fighting two customer service battles when trying to get some gifts. Not a very smooth process this year on my end. Hopefully you like what I sent and will get many happy years of enjoyment out of it.

DrMooCowz
I will open my gift on stream tomorrow at 3 PM Eastern time. After that, I'll likely play some Pitfall. I've been trying to get a "perfect score" of it (all treasures, no falling, no enemies hit, deaths are fine) as a bonus to an Activision Patch Challenge I've been doing on and off. https://www.twitch.tv/drmoocowz

Machine
So we had our annual Christmas party with our friends today. Over 20 people enjoyed some "Maze Craze" on the RasPi. Most of the younger people had no idea what 2600 games were, but they all lined up for a race to five. Thanks again CJ. Still working our way through the mound of games!
