      *Sigh* It's Monday.

But here's a special edition for us to enjoy. On May 12-24 1986, Jim Davis had created one of the most silliest Garfield series strips ever. It involved Garfield opening up one of the houses window blinds to see what kind of day it was. By doing so, he gets wrapped up in the shade and trapped with no way it.

As the days continue, it became sillier. After Garfield was trapped, more were stuck trying to help Garfield such as Jon, Odie, and strangers trying to free them out of the window blind. As the days continue, it became more bizarre and hilarious at the same time. Out of the many comic strip series that Jim Davis created, this was considered one of his most memorable out of them all. And we readers will agree on this.

And it was all because of Monday.

    • Geez that's bad, a seemingly very accurate Switch emulator running that Zelda game seemingly perfect or perfect enough.  I'm on the fence with that one, I feel I could get stupidly stuck in that game far too easy bceause of some illogical use this to do that type puzzle garbage which has me concerned.  I think it could be good, but logic puzzles of weird game designer choices tend to cause me problems because I tend to think of ways tha tmake sense games don't like to do and what they want makes utterly no sense and I don't want to be running to guides/YT videos persistently for dumb stuff.  That aside, looks like it has a lot of charm and unique moments to keep it from being another stale Zelda clone too.
    • So, yeah... fonts like this would be possible, along with all the nice, standard-type fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier, etc.).   I suppose I could even throw some of the icons I've created into fonts. I've got like 1,000, in 16x and 12x size. Most of them are geared towards the GUI interface, though. So, folders, files, apps, etc.; but I do have some other interesting images, like this whole set of Yahoo Emoticons that I converted. I was planning to use them for a GUI IRC/chat app.
    • That’s because FujiNet has an ESP32 inside it. Not everyone with a VBXE is necessarily going to be using it with a FujiNet.
    • That looks uniquely fun, a puzzle/action type that was forgotten to time that makes sense.  Shame it's costly?  I know the feel, not wanting to spend much of anything on some puzzles, that's why I mentioned on page 1 Magical Drop 1 and 2.  They were not worth the going rate, but when I could get those 7 carts in a bundle it arrived with, it dropped all the carts I think around $5 or less a piece so it was a must have to snatch up.  Strangely, I tend to use Shangai more, it's just chill when you remove the idiotic kill clock on that thing.
    • That would result in a bit of additional parsing in the firmware.   It might be possible to "hack" the current firmware. instead of using: your.ip-address:8080 as host you might try: your.ip-address","8080   The port in the AT-Command should be a number, so I am not sure the ESP8266 will accept it as string. The original port number 80 will be used as <keep alive>, but it should do any difference.   https://espressif-docs.readthedocs-hosted.com/projects/esp-at/en/release-v2.2.0.0_esp8266/AT_Command_Set/TCP-IP_AT_Commands.html#cmd-start
    • PRGE 2024 demo ROMs of the game are now posted.  In addition I have a "work in progress" version of PAL50 as a still-in-working proof of concept that more cycle time to do per-frame collision checks will avoid running up the walls or over other people's cars.
    • Yes, something a soldering iron and the most basic of skills could correct if it went that way just reheating the various contacts.  If that failed, then a bit more skill as you may have a busted or loose trace, something to scrape back, expsose, then secure.  or if the chip is shot or one of the chips, it would require popping that off and putting a new one there, though if it's one of the primary chips of the game itself it's easier just replaced entirely and the board kept as a donor.
    • Sorry, it was on the board you showed in the link. The boards are just a little too tall to fit in a 2600 cartridge shell as well. I had a clear case for one and had to modify the shell for it to fit (and remove the center post). Both protos had typed stickers.
    • It just depends on the encoded video system, NTSC has better frame rates and on legacy displays look much better, as PAL systems are kind of flickeriffic lacking decent reds etc. The exceptions are the newer displays with great PAL blending and PAL 60. Then it's a toss up. You need the right player and correctly encoded movies for each system. The NTSC coders are far and few between to make out specific versions for many of the newer offering, as a result we are ending up with less polished or even no equivalent offerings for most things. But there is no reason people can't make a mission of taking video streams that are normally NTSC or North America native sources and encode them for playback. The order of displayed frames might be reversed to see if color persists better etc.
    • Personally I think it is weird that a lot of Americans are digging into their ancestry and if they find a foreign relative many generations ago they call themselves (for example) Irish. But that is, I guess, a cultural thing.   I am eating sauerkraut tonight, so I guess I am German 😂   The 5 "basic points" JPF997 is stating would make me very afraid if he was part of an American jury in court. With the slightest circumstantial evidence he will get you convicted 😂
